If your child loves learning and adventure then

AIR CAMP IS YOUR KID’S DREAM CAMP

Air Camp is a hands-on, educational adventure in aviation and aeronautics. We inspire students to learn more about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) using aviation and aerospace as our medium while promoting the values of scholarship, leadership, and citizenship.

Making education an adventure

CURRICULUM

The core values of Air Camp – scholarship, leadership, and citizenship – are embodied in the intensive one-week schedule and unique curriculum that puts science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) in the context of aviation and aeronautics.

To engage Air Camp students, all STEM subjects are covered in hands-on exercises related to real-world aviation problems, that could include a black box recovery engineering design challenge or an airfoil design challenge using a wind tunnel for testing aircraft wing design.

Air Camp fosters leadership and citizenship as students work in teams all week, culminating in planning an airborne humanitarian rescue mission or service project.

The Air Camp curriculum was created by a team of experts, headed by the Dayton Regional STEM Center and the Montgomery County Educational Services Center, with assistance from curriculum developers at the University of Dayton, Sinclair College, and Wright State University.

So much excitement for one week
