Air Camp is grateful to generous donors who have provided funding to support a limited number of scholarships for our middle school and high school programs. Students should indicate their interest in being considered for a scholarship on their Air Camp application form, and those selected to participate in Air Camp will be notified of their scholarship status in May.



Grades 4, 5, & 6

DAY CAMPIS AN EDUCATION IN EXPLORATION

At Air Camp all Day Camp Students will:

  • Engaging in the science, technology, engineering, and math of aviation and aeronautics
  • Investigating the history of flight by visiting aviation heritage sites
  • Developing leadership skills by working with others to share ideas and solve problems
  • Discovering solutions to challenges that effect individuals, communities, and the world
  • Exploring workplaces and professions that exist in the STEM fields
  • Traveling to meet and learn from STEM professionals while at their workplaces
  • Fostering curiosity and a commitment to scholarship through hands-on experiences
  • Collaborating in acts of citizenship and learning why it is important to help others

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Grades 4, 5, 6 Day Camps 5 days each, 8:30-4:30
The tuition is: $429 for the week (Early Bird Pricing — price becomes $449 on March 1st)

  • Students must be entering grade 4, 5, or 6 in the fall of 2020
  • Acknowledgement of any special needs, dietary, physical, behavioral, etc. must be fully disclosed in the application process in an attempt to provide appropriate support; not all needs will be able to be supported but all attempts will be made in that effort for selected participants
  • Students MUST bring a lunch and beverage Monday through Thursday
  • Students MUST wear appropriate, modest clothing and comfortable, flat walking shoes with no skin or socks exposed from the ankle down in order to meet safety guidelines at all sites on the itinerary
  • Students MUST be dropped off and picked up on time; failure to do so could alter the child’s opportunity to participate
